The historical film "Baler" took home 10 awards at the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival awards, held at the Sofitel Hotel in Manila. The movie is a love story set amid the Siege of Baler in 1898, won Best Festival Picture, Best Director for Mark Meily, Best Actress for Anne Curtis, Best Supporting Actor for Philip Salvador, Best Screenplay, and the Gatpuno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award.
It also won Best Screenplay for Roy Iglesias, Best Cinematography for Lee Meily, Best Production Design for Aped Santos, and Best Editing for Danny Anonuevo.
If there is one thing Angel Locsin wants Piolo Pascual to have, it is for her leading man in the upcoming film “Love Me Again (Love Down Under)” to finally find the love of his life.

Eartha Kitt, who rose from the Southern cotton fields to captivate audiences around the world with sultry performances as a singer, dancer and actress, died on Thursday at the age of 81.
Kitt died of colon cancer for which she was recently treated at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. The cancer was detected about two years ago and treated but recurred after a period of remission.
I was told by someone in the know that Hayden Kho may probably have been set-up for his break-up with Vicky Belo.
Consider the fact that despite the length of their relationship, Kho was never given a significant position in the Belo Medical Group. While Belo may have sent him abroad for advanced studies, he seemed to have always been excluded from any long-term plans for the company's future. If Belo had long term plans for her relationship with Kho, wouldn't it be logical for her to have assigned him a significant corporate position? But nothing of that sorts ever happened.
And if you are Belo, if you really want to hold on to Kho, would you really tempt him with Katrina Halili, arguably currently the sexiest Filipina, knowing very well you won't be able to hold a candle to her youth and freshness? Why even expose Kho to the temptation? Belo could have easily contracted another hunk to appear with Halili in the nude pictorial. So why Kho?
Did anyone catch The Buzz earlier today? Karylle, ex-girlfriend of Dingdong Dantes, took the hot seat and was asked to comment on the rumors regarding Marian Rivera being pregnant. Marian is Dingdong's current flame.

American popular rock band Arnel Pineda won the P1 million prize in ABS-CBN’s hit game show “Deal or No Deal.”He declared as the show’s 17th millionaire in the show hosted by Kris Aquino. The rock singer was accompanied by his wife Cherry Flores, his child and members of his former band The Zoo. The singer said that he could not ask for more since God blessed him so much. “Wala na akong wish Christmas wish, nag-the-thank you na lang sa mga blessing at sana ay health lang palagi,” he said.
Pineda who is in the country to take a short break is doing television guestings particularly on ABS-CBN shows.

Former singer Didith Reyes, Helen Sta. Maria in real life, was found dead, December 10, at her friend's house in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Biñan, Laguna. Reyes had claimed three days ago that she was sideswiped by a vehicle, prompting a police investigation into her death.
Philippine National Police Region 4-A head Chief Superintendent Ricardo Padilla has already directed the police in Laguna to look into the possible cause of her death.
Reyes was a popular singer during the 70s. She popularized OPM songs, such as "Araw-Araw, Gabi-Gabi," "Hindi Kami Damong Ligaw," and "Bakit Ako Mahihiya?"
Reyes was 59.
