Sam Lufti: Britney Spears is Hopeful, Optimistic

According to Sam Lufti, Britney Spear's friend who is best known for getting into a physical altercation while getting served in Spears’ custody fight, Spears checked into Beverly Hills’ Peninsula Hotel after dropping off her boys with Kevin Federline, going tanning and stopping by the DMV. Spears remains optimistic about regaining custody of the boys soon.

A source close to Britney Spears says her optimism comes from the fact the Monday decision to give K-Fed custody was merely the result of scheduling conflicts that kept Spears from showing up for court-mandated drug testing.

But another friend has a different story about the 25-year-old slow moving train wreck pop-star’s mindset, saying, “She’s so scared. For Britney, [losing Sean and Jayden] was her realest moment ever… She doesn’t know what to do. She is going hit an all time low.”

Why Britney Spears Lost Custody

Britney lost custody because she ignored L.A. County Commissioner Scott Gordon at every turn. Starting from last month, when the commissioner ordered her to do a number of things in order to maintain 50/50 custody, she didn't do any of them.

Spears was ordered to meet with a drug counselor, submit to drug testing, enroll in parenting class, and sign the judge's order - all of which she didn't do.

So the commissioner prohibited both Spears and her husband from driving their children unless they had a valid California driver's license. Gordon was pissed today when TMZ posted a video of Spears driving her kids around Malibu.

Britney Spears' Sad Saga Continues With Judge's Child-Custody Order

It's been motherhood under a microscope for Britney Spears, who lost custody of her two children, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, on Monday when a judge ordered the singer to turn over her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline until further notice, effective Wednesday.

From day one, Spears has faced scorn and scrutiny for her choice of a husband but strangely, Federline's image has now improved relative to hers. Even if Britney hasn't cracked under the pressure, the judge in her custody case isn't taking any chances when it comes to her young brood.

Britney Spears loses custody of her kids

Due to the claims of Britney Spears’ former bodyguard Tony Barretto, Kevin Federline has been given temporary custody of the children. According to FOX news, Commissioner Scott Gordon will order the boys, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, turned over to Federline based on information that Los Angeles Family Court received over the weekend about Spears. During Monday's custody hearing, the former bodyguard accused the pop star of having “issues of nudity and drug use” since she returned from rehab.

Britney Spears Investigated for Alleged Animal Cruelty

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in LA recently went over to Britney Spear's mansion to look into allegations of possible mistreatment of her Yorkshire Terrier.

The group quickly responded to reports that her dog's broken leg had gone untreated. Luckily for the pop star, her veterinarian was able to send over a written statement proving otherwise.

That's one less thing for Brit to worry about as her ex-husband Kevin Federline gathers evidence that she is an unfit mother.

Britney's £10k bill after she vomits on dress during photoshoot

26th July 2007 - According to reports. Britney Spears vomited on a Gucci dress during a photoshoot, leaving a bill of more than £10,000 after walking away with designer goods and leaving a number of items damaged.

Falling star: the singer reportedly vomited on a designer gown during the photoshoot

The singer, whose bizarre behaviour has heightened fears she is spiralling out of control, also let her Yoarkshire terrier defecate on a £3,350 Zac Posen gown.

It's not the first time the star has been seen in a mess in recent times - while visiting a bar in West Hollywood on Monday, the dazed looking star was seen with food smeared across her face.

The magazine decided not to print the pictures because they "weren't up to standard."

Britney Spears Wants to Be A Waitress

July 6 2007 - Britney Spears surprised everyone at L.A. hot spot Les Deux when she asked to speak to the manager and asked if they were hiring.

As the manager fielded her inquiry, Spears diligently took notes and looked at her calendar for her available dates.

She finally said she could start the following Saturday. Spears did indeed arrive at the club on Saturday, July 14. Unfortunately, none of the higher-ups were there to follow up with her.

Britney Spears blames umbrella attack on photographer on movie role she failed to get

In a statement in her website Rumor Mongrel accessed July 6, 2007, Britney Spears apologized for attacking a photographer's car with an umbrella in February -

"I apologize to the pap for a stunt that was done 4 months ago regarding an umbrella. I was preparing my character for a role in a movie where the husband never plays his part so they switch places accidentally. I take all my roles very seriously and got a little carried away. Unfortunately I didn't get the part."
