Charice starring a TV show in US?

After performing in one of the three pre-inaugural events for US President Barack Obama, Charice Pempengco will soon be returning to the US to listen to some songs composer David Foster has written for her.

There are rumors that Charisse will be starring in her very own TV show produced by Ms. Winfrey. She could only say that she would be really thankful if the news really does become a reality. Charice emphasized though that even if international offers are pouring in, she will still treat the Philippines as her home base.

Diether Ocampo has issued a statement, effectively refuting rumors that he is planning to run in the 2010 elections. His statement reads:

"There is no truth in the news that I am running for the local office neither that I am consulting anybody for political advice. I am not interested nor aspiring for any seat in politics. I would rather talk about improving our social and civic developments especially in the southern part or the country, mainly in Mindanao, where a lot of our muslim brothers and sisters are in need of support and inspiration from people like us."

Luis Manzano on why Angel cried during her duet

Luis Manzano has revealed that rumored girlfriend Angel Locsin had a recent “trying moment,” which was why she cried during her duet with Piolo Pascual in the January 11 episode of ASAP, while promoting their movie Love Me Again: Land Down Under.

In a TV interview, Angel had earlier explained to Kris Aquino she cried because "Na-realize ko lang na hindi puwedeng makuha mo ang lahat ng sabay-sabay."

Manzano added, "Totoong may napagdaanan kami."

...and the timing would not have been better with all the additional publicity for said movie. Amen.

After spending three months in New York studying modeling, Rustom Padilla recently came home as a transformed person, having change his or her name to Bebe Gandanghari and looking more and more like a female.

When interviewed, ex-wife Carmina Villaroel, was fine with the transformation, saying, "You know, wala akong masasabi eh. Siguro what I can say is [that] I have nothing to say against him, nothing bad. Because I don’t have any ill feelings towards him." She even said she was willing to work with Rustom/Bebe in the future.

Patrick Swayze talks about his pancreatic cancer in an exclusive interview with ABC. Swayze tells Barbara Walters that he has stage IV pancreatic cancer that had already spread to his liver when it was diagnosed in March 2008.

Swayze, 56, says that surviving five years is "wishful thinking," but that living two more years "seems likely, if you're going to believe the statistics." And he defines "winning" as "not giving up."

Heather Locklear DUI Is Dismissed

Heather Locklear’s DUI lawyer entered a plea of no contest to reckless driving charges on Friday to avoid DUI charges. Locklear was arrested on September 28 for driving under the influence of prescription drugs and was reportedly pulled over by police after she was observed “driving erratically” after leaving a parking lot. No alcohol or illegal druga were in her system but the D.A. reported high amounts of prescription medication following a blood test.

John Travolta's son dies

John Travolta's 16 year-old teenage son, Jett, died after apparently hitting his head on the bathtub while the family was vacationing at their home in the Bahamas. Jett had last been seen entering the bathroom on Thursday and had a history of seizures.

A house caretaker found the teenager unconscious in a bathroom late Friday morning. He was taken by ambulance to a Freeport hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Travolta, 54, and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, 46, also have an 8-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu.

Estranged couple Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez are back in each other’s arms but only for the pre-Valentine's concert MIssing You, scheduled for Feb. 6, 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum.

The ex-couple used to hold annual Valentine's concerts when they were still together. Obviously this concert will be different from the previous ones. For one, they are no longer together. But they have also grown tremendously as concert performers.
